Passive Income Visa
This visa is best for people with any legal passive regular income of at least €760 per month after tax deduction and savings in a bank account of at least €9120 per person.
What is this service about?
The Passive Income Visa, also known as Portugal’s D7 visa, is designed for individuals who have a legal passive regular income of at least €760 per month after tax deductions and savings in a bank account of at least €9120 per person.
This visa is ideal for individuals with stable, legal passive income sources who wish to live in Portugal. It is suitable for retirees, investors, or anyone with a steady passive income.
To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a passive income of at least €760 per month after tax and have savings of at least €9120 per person in a bank account.
The D7 visa allows individuals to obtain a two-year residence permit, which can be extended for another three years. After five years of legal residency in Portugal, visa holders can apply for permanent residence or citizenship.
Applicants must apply for the D7 visa from a country where they have residency or citizenship. Typically, applications are submitted through the Portuguese Consulate or the VFS Global visa center in the applicant’s country. It is not possible to obtain a residence permit with a passive regular income while residing in Portugal; the D7 visa must be obtained first.
