Frequently Asked Questions
We register the company remotely. Opening an account in mainland China normally requires a personal visit; in some cases a remote option is possible and we discuss it during the consultation.
Hong Kong applies a territorial principle: profits sourced in Hong Kong are taxable. The rate is 8.25% on the first HKD 2 million of profits and 16.5% above that. An offshore profits exemption requires a separate claim to the tax authority.
No. The director and owner may be non-residents and 100% foreign ownership is allowed. A local company secretary and a Hong Kong registered address are mandatory – we provide both.
The first tax return is typically issued around 18 months after incorporation; afterwards reporting is annual and requires an audit. We manage that cycle for you.
Yes, this is a standard and well-established structure. For renminbi settlements we help open a mainland bank account and obtain SAFE codes.
Incorporation alone does not grant residency. Living in Hong Kong requires a separate investor or employment visa, which we handle as a separate service.
Hong Kong banks assess whether the business is real: counterparties, contracts and the logic of cash flows. That is why we prepare clients for the KYB review in advance, with a documented business model and answers to the bank’s questions.
