Digital Nomad Visa

The Digital Nomad Visa is issued to individuals who work remotely and earn an income of more than €3300 per month. This visa provides a pathway to obtaining a long-term residence permit in Portugal.

This visa is ideal for remote workers and freelancers who wish to live in Portugal while continuing to work for clients or companies outside the country. It is designed for those who meet the income requirement and seek flexibility in their living arrangements.

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a monthly income of more than €3300 from remote work. This income should be stable and verifiable to meet the visa requirements.

Short-Stay Visa: Allows you to stay in Portugal for up to 12 months. It cannot be extended but can be used to apply for a residence permit. Ideal for those planning to stay in Portugal temporarily before moving to other countries.

Long-Term Visa: Provides grounds for obtaining a residence permit for two years, allowing you to stay in Portugal for more than a year. Suitable for those who wish to eventually obtain Portuguese citizenship.

Applicants must apply for the Digital Nomad Visa from a country where they have a residence permit or citizenship. The Portuguese Consulate processes the visa application within 90 days.
